It is under 100 days until I am scheduled to make my first appearance! It is week 26. Mommy and Daddy are finally starting to both feel better and that makes me really happy. So in honor of their good health, I have been putting on a kicking exhibition. Mommy thinks I am going to be a soccer player and Daddy thinks I am going to be a football kicker.

Christmas
Merry Christmas. Here is Mommy and me at Mimi and Pop's house. I got a lot of presents today: a lot of toys and a video monitor from Chacha and Grandad. I also decided to put on a kicking exhibition after all the presents were opened. Great Aunt Laura and Aunt Kristin felt me kick :)
Week 25
It is Christmas time. Week 25. Mommy and Daddy had to cancel our trip to Las Vegas last weekend because Mommy had been coughing too much and we were worried that the plane ride to Vegas wouldn't help. So instead we went to Nashville and stayed at Opryland. Boy Opryland sure was decked out for the Holidays. Mommy and Daddy bought me some clothes and had a really yummy dinner that included shrimp cocktail, a ceasar salad, a corn fed filet, yummy mashed potatoes, and a bannana's foster creme brule desert. Nashville sure was a lot of fun!
Week 24
Here is Mommy and me at Week 24. Now that Daddy is not sick anymore it was Mommy's turn to be sick. She got a viral infection that caused her to cough a lot and it ended up bruising her ribs :( Needless to say I haven't been getting a lot of sleep these days.

Week 23
The week of December 7, I hit the 23 week mark. We spent the weekend prior at Daddy's work Christmas party and by the time we got home he was very sick. Mommy made Daddy go to the doctor and we found out that he had strep throat...yuck. All I know is that Mommy and I did not spend much time with Daddy this week so that she and I would not get sick. Daddy is the photographer so there is no picture of me this week. Mommy and I went to the doctor on December 10 and everything looked good. My heartbeat was 150 bpm.

My Bedding
So when Mommy, Daddy and I got back from the lake this evening, Mommy was so excited that the fabric swatches she had ordered finally arrived from the people she wanted to make my crib bedding. She immediately booted up the computer, made a few modifications to her design and ordered my bedding. She and daddy were especially happy since it was on sale. I am not sure what that means. I cannot wait for my bedding to arrive...now, if I just had a crib, I would be in business.
Thanksgiving
I sure had a great Thanksgiving with my Mommy, Daddy and the rest of the family. We had a big lunch on Thursday at Mimi and Pop's house. It was nice to have so many people that care about me in the same place. It was the first time seeing them since everyone found out I am a boy.
After lunch we headed to ChaCha and Granddad's house in Arkansas to spend the long weekend with them and Uncle Robert. Mommy wishes that I had not given her acid reflux so she could have not felt so sick the entire time. I am sorry Mommy! I think that the lake is fun and I cannot wait to go back.
I am thankful for all my family and cannot wait to celebrate Thanksgiving with them all next year!

21 Weeks
11/23/09 - Here is Mommy and me at 21 weeks. Mommy says she is starting to feel me move around. She especially feels me moving when she lays down in bed. Daddy is excited because he got to feel me move too.
Pops Birthday Dinner
11/12/09 - So on Thursday we went over to Mimi and Pop's to celebrate Pop's birthday. They made me a cake. I like cake. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!
Dinner at Ruth's Chris
11/20/09 - So Mommy, Daddy, the Grandparents, and I went to Ruth's Chris to celebrate Daddy's birthday. I was happy that Mom ordered the filet and ceasar salad, but much to my dismay she also ordered mushrooms. Ewwwwww. I tried to tell Mommy that if I were really going to be a Dow I would have to stick to meat and potatoes and that much like my Great Grandfather Pappy and Daddy, I am a rather picky eater. Let’s just say that the mushrooms and me didn’t quite agree. Sorry Mom.

"Wicked" Awesome

Lawrence and I saw Wicked on Wednesday, July 8. I have been looking forward to seeing this show since my friend Jen purchased our tickets for us in JANUARY!!
I had no idea what to expect. I knew that it was a a prequel of sorts to the Wizard of Oz (one of my favorite films) but that was it.
I can not say enough good things about the show. It was one of the best shows I have EVER seen. In fact I am already ready to see it again...hopefully in NYC on Broadway.
I am excited to start reading the book!!!
4th of July
Mom and dad had a cook out with the entire family...it was a blast. I love when mom and dad have the family over--it is always a great time!!!
My little cousins were in attendance and they always entertain. Since Michael Jackson had just passed they have become very interested in the Thriller video. It was fun getting to experience his music through their eyes.
We ended the night by going to the Germantown fireworks! I had never been (in the 19 years I have lived here) and bad soooo much fun. I am such a sucker for fireworks!!!
I think that we will start the tradition of going each year...what a great way to celebrate being an American.

June Recap
This summer is FLYING by!
The month started off by the first Live at the Garden show which was Train and Sister Hazel. What a great night. The weather was perfect and the bands played all their greatest hits.
Us at the Doobie Brothers :)
The following weekend we had a great time visiting Melissa and David in Heber. The most memorable part of the weekend was going tubing. I had never been and after I got over my initial freak out I had a great time. I got pretty beat up but hopefully the next time will not be so bad :)
I am TERRIFIED...this was the first ride!!
The next weekend was busy with the Doobie Brothers at Live at the Garden on Thursday night and then Eddie Vedder at the Orpheum on Saturday.
Us before Eddie Vedder.
We also joined the new gym with our friend's the Jones'. We are enjoying our membership!!

May Days
May has almost come and gone...but I will try to update the blogosphere as to what has been going on in our lives.
May 3 we celebrated the baptism of our dear friend's baby girl, Helen Elisabeth. It was a wonderful occasion and enjoyed a wonderful lunch after wards. Thanks John and Robin!
We celebrated mother's day on May 10 by visiting with Melissa and Cynthia. I think that they both enjoyed their gifts - McCarty pottery.
We also celebrated my birthday WEEK. The week started off on Thursday, May 7 when my work threw me a surprise birthday party at Bosco's Squared. I was very surprised. Saturday, May 9, Lawrence took me to a delicious meal at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. Monday, May 11, I had the day off (sorta) and mother and I went to the spa for an hour long massage. That evening it was my traditional birthday dinner (chicken kiev, cream corn and mashed potatoes) at my parents with Lawrence, mom, dad, Kristin and Spence (and of course Lia, Max, Justin and Katie). The week concluded on Saturday with a birthday party for me and Grandmomma. By then I was ready for the week to be over...I am too old to celebrate for 10 days :)
The weekend of May 15 was also a treat to get to spend time with old friends. Friday night, the Bozeman's opened up their home for a cookout...where the adults were outnumbered by the children. It was also my first time to meet the newest addition to the Olita family and the Gladden family. Saturday night was Pete and Sam's for dinner and then Brookhaven for after dinner drinks.
I think that the month of May finally caught up with me on Sunday, May 17. By the end of the day I was feeling yucky...but chalked it up to inhaling cleaning products while deep cleaning bathrooms. By Wednesday I felt the worst that I had in YEARS (and I have been sick the last 3 years with my sinus problems). Finally went to the doctor and was diagnosed with a throat infection -- yuck!! Since then I have been a slave to the couch for the most part. **Not to worry...I was not contagious, since I never had fever...per the doctor***
So needless to say, Memorial Day was pretty uneventful...a lot of sleeping and movies. We did venture out a bit on Saturday to see X-Men Wolverine and to a BBQ at my parent's on Sunday.
Hope you and your's is having a wonderful Memorial Day...we all do have a lot to be thankful for!!

Valentine's Day Weekend
I hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend. Lawrence and I had a very low key weekend. Friday we went to dinner and then saw Confessions of a Shopaholic (my pick). I did not enjoy the movie...perhaps since I love the books so much. Saturday we ran errands and then repeated dinner and a movie. Being Valentine's Day, we were worried about dinner. We got in and out, however the movies were packed. I guess everyone decided to take their "sweethearts" to the movies. We saw Slumdog Millionaire (I let him think it was his pick). It was really good, however some scenes made me incredibly sad. There are still a few movies that I want to see...but we decided to take today off. I sure wish that I had the President's Day holiday off tomorrow to continue relaxation!
