Today was the 100th day of school! I am very biased but I think that my "little old man" was the cutest thing!!

Vaughan's class had a party to celebrate the occasion and I was one of the mom volunteers. I manned the table where the boys had to cut out $100 worth of paper money. They cracked me up since many of them thought the currency was real. Hopefully none tried to spend it at a store!

While I was at school, gentry was having a ball with his great aunt and great grandmother! He loves hanging out with them.

Today woke up with my little guy in his weekly school newsletter. It always makes me happy to see him having fun when he's out of my watchful eye!

Vaughan played at my aunt's house today while I attended a baby shower. You can always tell how much fun a kid had had when they get upset to see you when you come to pick them up :)

Yesterday, vaughan remembered the promise that was made to him many, many months ago--if he stopped sucking his thumb he could get ANY toy he wanted, and he chose a talking Lotso Hugging Bear from Tpy Story 3. So today we set out to purchase one. Only to realize they were sold out. He handled it well and it will be ordered. Gent picked out w batman toy for kicking his Paci habit.

After toy shopping we headed to Cracker Barrel for lunch--yum! Oh and their UT apparel is a plus as well.

We had dinner with some long time friends and their boys. The four kids had the best time and barely stopped playing long enough to eat dinner. We can't wait to host them at our home in a few weeks :)

TGIF and its a busy one!
Running errands, picking up the kiddo from school then rushing to speech therapy then rushing to basketball practice. Just another day in a mom's life!

V is struggling with his "th" blends at speech so we will work on that again this week. Hopefully he will catch on to that soon. He has done so well each week so this is our first minor little setback. No worries :)

Gent was exhausted and fell asleep on the way to basketball practice and slept for half the time we were there. Of course I was wearing a flannel shirt and a puff jacket--so his 98.6 degrees of body heat in a hot gym made momma a hot mess!

Today Gent woke up super early and got to spend some time with brother before they went their separate ways. Today G was reunited with his baby and spare baby is safely put back away until another day. I had to work late so I missed dinnertime, bath time and bed time ... I know 2 boys who will be spoiled by their momma tomorrow :)

Gentry's most prized possession for left at school, his baby. Things could have gotten really ugly over here, however, I luckily had a spare and he was none the wiser that is was an "imposter". Vaughan, on the other hand told him it wasn't the "real" baby every chance he got. Kids!!

It's taco Tuesday, our favorite day of the week. Both boys had a great day at school and ate all their dinner. Both were super sleepy so bedtime was easy peasy.

Enjoyed this beautiful MLK holiday with the boys. Couldn't have asked for a better day.

We started off the day playing at the park with some friends. The four of them get along so great and they are such blessings. All was going well until Vaughan fell down again and re-busted his knee, which caused a major waterworks display. He gets not only his grace from me, but also his dramatics: "Why does this keep happening to me?"

After we were cleaned up we headed to Chic-Fil-A. Gent had wanted to go there yesterday and had a major meltdown when I told him they were closed on Sunday's :)

After lunch, we run to the grocery and then head home for naps. After naps, we took advantage of the warm winter weather to walk and scooter around the neighborhood. Gentry busted on the sidewalk so another activity with tears, but luckily no blood this time!

Back to the grind tomorrow!!

Another beautiful day!

While daddy worked outside, the boys and I went to lunch then over to Austin's house to play.

By the time we got home we were way past nap time so the baby went down for his nap and Vaughan played basketball.

While I had the house to myself I was going to clean the upstairs then I heard the crying. Vaughan managed to fall down while playing basketball in the driveway and managed to bust up his knees and an elbow. He was hurting so he stayed in for the rest of the afternoon.

No school tomorrow so the kiddos stayed up a wee bit later than normal. Hopeful I won't regret this tomorrow :)

Lazy Saturday!

Took the boys to chic fil a for lunch (to burn off some energy!). Gent was sweet to share his ice cream with his brother.

While the baby slept, Lawrence and I played basketball with V. He is trying hard to improve--and that makes up happy!

Tonight the boys were VERY whiney and crying at the drop of a hat. Hopefully tomorrow they will wake up refreshed :)

Another busy Friday!
Gent and I ran a few errands before picking up V from school. He was Me. Independent at Whole Foods and insisted on pushing the cart!

After lunch, we had speech therapy then came home and had nap/rest time before basketball practice.

A good nights sleep was just what the doctor ordered. Everyone woke up with smiles on their faces and laughing. A change from the past few days.

Gent had a fun day with Nana and Papa. The funniest text o received all day was this: "Vhs tape of Peter Pan would not go into machine. Upon investigation I found three DVDs in vhs slot. It had been "Gentryed."" Sounds about right!

V was tickled by a book about a sneezing dog that he kept talking about all evening.

Facebook informed me that 2 years ago today V had his school assessment. I was so nervous that day and battled the cold at the crack of dawn with an excited toddler and a brand new baby. What a journey we have been on the past 2 years. Not only is he making life long friends I have met some of the most awesome folks too! So thankful for our school :)

Gent wanted to wear his Baymax hat to school today. When they said "good morning, gentry" he replies "I'm Baymax" which made me chuckle. When my sister dropped of ASH he was still wearing his hat!

V was very, very tired today. He wouldn't get out of the car to go to school and tried to nap on the car ride home. What does a mom do when her kid is so tired? Bed at 7:15 of course :)

Happy Tuesday!
Boys had a wonderful day at school. Both went to school and came home with smiles on their face! They are graphing in V's class and he asked us many questions tonight and graphed our answers. Fun :)

Today, Gent was tested at a school we are thinking about sending him to in the future. He did so well and I was very proud of him. He even shared toys with the other kid in the room! They asked what his favorite toy was and I told them anything that his brother is playing with.

Picked up V in carpool. I got there 30 min early and was still not first in line. Kinda crazy. He was 2nd in the car so he was ecstatic!

After rest time we played basketball for a bit. Gotta keep practicing!

Very lazy day around here. The highlight was practicing basketball and V making his first ever goal. We are so proud of our little baller!

Happy for the weekend!

Today, we ran errands, including to Lowes where I snapped the above picture of the guys.

This afternoon I took V-man to a Star Wars birthday party at the Kroc Center. He exclaimed that it was the most fun ever. So that sounds like a winner to me. He really has enjoyed playing with his Luke Skywalker light saber :)

We concluded the day by going out to dinner with some girlfriends and their kids to Mellow Mushroom. yum!

TGIF! This week has been brutal with going back to school and the "I'm do tired" cries from a little JK-er. I was happy to go into this weekend.

While V was at school, I ran errands with the little guy.

After carpool, we grabbed lunch at chick-fil-a before speech therapy. V did a great time at speech and I can really tell an improvement!

Later today we had our first basketball practice. Disaster is the best word to describe the first 10 minutes. V was so tired that he cried hysterically. Not only was it embarrassing (having 25 moms give you sad eyes is always fun) but completely out of character for him. He finally calmed down once we got into teams and had a great practice. We definitely have some practicing to do.

Vaughan was the line leader at school today and got a nice note from his teachers in his folder. I'd call that success.

After bubble bath and a book someone didn't want to go to sleep so we cuddled, while he slept :)

Gentry was up at 12:30...I wasn't asleep since I couldn't shut my brain down. We cuddled and he ended up sleeping with us the rest of the night which led to the picture above :)

I went back to work--I was happy to get back into routine and I truly missed my co-workers.

Tonight V came home with a grip pencil to held with his grip thanks to his sweet teachers. Love how much he is concentrating on his writing while I'm prepping dinner :)

Today was back to school for the V-man. He was so excited to wake up and get dressed. He truly missed his friends and teachers during the break. When G and I picked him up his teachers said he wouldn't stop hugging her all day. Warms my heart!

Tomorrow, I head back to work--how will I function without a mid afternoon nap?? Hahaha

As we wrapped up our holiday time off we had yet another fun and relaxing day. While Gent napped, Vaughan and I went on a hunt for mittens with the upcoming temperature drop approaching. Then we cuddled up and made mosaic puzzles while watching "The Lego Movie." After dinner we watched yet another movie, "Alice in Wonderland" one of my favorite Disney movies. With school in session tomorrow I am hopeful that we can get out the door with no whining -- the boys have been spoiled by sleeping in the past two weeks!

Today was rainy so we lounged around the house. When there was a break in the weather we ran a few errands and grabbed lunch. Upon getting home, Gent went down for a nap and V went over to play at Laura's house while I took down the Christmas decorations. Always a sad day, in my opinion. Ended the day grabbing dinner with Robbie, Kim and baby Alexis :)

Today was another relaxing day. After lunch at Pei Wei, Vaughan went to play video games with Papa. Gent and I watched the first half of the UT bowl game together and Vaughan joined us for the 2nd half. Go Vols! After dinner we watched The Santa Clause 2.

  

Happy New Year!

This year, one of my resolutions is that I am going to do a better job journaling about the little guys. Life gets so fast but I need to make sure I have these precious memories filed for the future.

Today, the boys slept until shortly after 8am after a very late night with family celebrating the new year. We bummed around the house and watched the Rose Bowl parade and YouTube Toy Story videos, Vaughan's newest obsession.

I hope that 2015 brings wonderful things to my family and friends whom I hold so close.
