Sixteen Months Old

Poor baby was so sick with a viral infection this week, it was a wonder he had such a sweet smile when he turned sixteen months. On Monday, July 25, within an hour of taking a bath he was covered with red spots and his arms and legs were swollen. Mommy was in a panic and was so happy we could get into the doctor to be checked out.

I thank God that it was simply a viral infection. It was honestly one of the scariest things this Mommy has had to encounter the sixteen months that this beautiful creature has graced Earth.

Vaughan learned where his belly was today at school. He is such a cutie pie!

4th of July Weekend

We spent the 4th of July holiday at the lakehouse in Heber. Vaughan was such a good boy and was very adapting to his new surroundings. We went on the boat and he fell asleep the second we pulled away from the dock and woke up right when we pulled back up to the dock. We all participated in the Eden Isle 4th of July parade and boy did we have a fun time! ChaCha bought  some decorations and we had a great looking golf cart. It was all too exhausting and Vaughan fell asleep on the parade route. We are looking forward to next year.

And he is out like a light! A special thank you to ChaCha for letting Vaughan borrow her Tortola hat. His sun hat had outgrown his noggin and he would have nothing to do with the baseball cap we picked up at the local Walmart.
